Lasiq

Background

The Lasiqs are specialists in death at extreme distances, the long arm of the Hassassin sect. Patience, acute eyesight, a firm pulse and an unbreakable faith in the objectives of the organization, are the qualities required to become a Lasiq.

Designated specifically for selective elimination operations only when a Fiday can not be sent, they will seek out their target, determine his routine and cleanly carry out their neutralization from a long distance - instilling fear and a sense of impotence in the hearts of those nearby. However, Lasiqs are also the watchmen and observers of the organization. Their objective is to watch and oversee operations, and, if something goes wrong, to intervene with deadly precision. In supporting missions, their function is to secure the viability of an operation and the safe return of the agents involved, clearing their escape routes with precise and lethal firepower. Accustomed to operating in urban areas and facing tactical situations with multiple targets, they have developed a modus operandi which emphasizes mobility over concealment, changing position after firing a few shots and creating an atmosphere of chaos and confusion. The Lasiqs exemplify the old motto of the elite sniper: “One shot, one death” and they have the necessary armament for it. The Hassassin sect has put the whole Haqqislamite bio-medical machine at the service of their sinister purposes. No hit involving a Lasiq merely wounds. They only have one outcome – sudden death.

The Lasiqs are the long executioner arm of the Hassassin sect; they are specialists in long-distance death. Patience, sharp vision, steady hands, and a strong moral conviction in the organization’s objectives are the qualities required to become a Lasiq. Designated for assassination operations, but only when circumstances do not allow a Fiday to be sent, they will follow their target, determine its routines, and neutralize it cleanly from a great distance, sowing fear and feelings of impotence in the hearts of all those who surround their prey. But Lasiqs are also the observers of the organization. Their function is to monitor and supervise, and if something goes wrong, they intervene with mortal precision. On support missions their role is to ensure the viability of an operation and the safe exit of the agents involved, clearing their way with accurate and deadly fire. Accustomed to operating in urban environments and to facing tactical situations with multiple objectives, they have developed an operating method that emphasizes mobility over camouflage, changing position after several shots to create an atmosphere of chaos and confusion.

Lasiqs exemplify and personify the old maxim of elite snipers: “One shot, one kill”, and they have the necessary weapons to do it. The Hassassin sect has put all of the Haqqislamite biomedical machinery at the service of their sinister purposes. No Lasiq impact wounds; they all kill directly and definitively.[1]

Despite their gregarious demeanour, the life of a Lasiq is a lonely one. Snipers par excellence, they provide a quiet, precise alternative to the order’s typical methods. Unlike the dramatic statements of other Hassassins, the silent and invisible Lasiqs pride themselves on eliminating their target and leaving no trace of their presence.

Patient and deliberate, Lasiqs stalk their prey fastidiously. Whether by remote surveillance, investigation, or infiltration, a Lasiq becomes intimately familiar with their target—their habits, routines, moods, and secrets—before striking. In the moment of death, they are often closer to their victim than anyone ever has been… or ever will be.

Because of this intimacy, Lasiqs honour their victims in ways the rest of the order normally eschew. Regardless, the message is still unmistakeably delivered: evil is never safe, for nowhere is truly outside of the Hassassin’s reach.[2]

Equipment

Lasiq armor can pass for normal clothing thanks to chameleon-tech that allows it to subtly change it shape and color.
